I use Adobe as workpapers for tax return preparation. I loathe paper, and would have to keep 7-10 years of files for each client. That's just too much to store, and doesn't allow for good accessibility. Adobe works well for the purpose: scan the files, mark up using stamps/bookmarks/etc., and when done print again to PDF to lock in the data.

It's just the price that kills me.

Hi Jason,
Office is expressive, but Adobe is bloody madness!!! What is it you need to use Adobe for, I just use work and print it out to a PDF, then i use PDF Split and Merge is needed.

Very interesting. Thanks for providing that Jayson. It's the first I've heard of it. The Gizmodo break almost seemed like it was sanctioned by Microsoft.

Regarding coming across as a know-it-all, I know what you mean and how you feel. Dont apologize for it. As long as you're not arrogant, who cares what others think? You've accumulated a lot of knowledge in a specific area - right there I think that gives you the RIGHT to declare that you know and understand much more than the next person, and quite possibly - know it "all". :-)

Hi Jayson,

There's a change that takes place around a width of .04-.05

Setting the width to .04 will let you unhide it. Setting it to .05 actually preserves the width at that when it is set to visible. Don't know why, it just is.
